R&D Specialist

As a R&D Specialist in the PB ECE AppsDev Emerging Products department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of our products with AWS and GCP cloud platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a secure and efficient network infrastructure, both inbound and outbound, to support our deployment stacks.

• Manage complex L2/L3 networking environments, ensuring expert-level configuration of BGP, OSPF, and static routing to control traffic flow between data centers, edge locations, and cloud providers.
• Architect and troubleshoot high-performance data paths, optimizing NAT, firewall rules, and ACLs to guarantee secure, low-latency communication.
• Design and implement enterprise-grade connectivity solutions, including IPSec/GRE tunnels and dedicated cloud links like AWS Direct Connect and GCP Interconnect.
• Implement and manage network security and optimization tools, across hybrid environments, focusing on firewalls, L4/L7 Load Balancers, and Network Address Translation.
• Conduct advanced packet analysis using Wireshark and tcpdump to diagnose and resolve complex, isolated connectivity issues.
• Design and govern cloud landing zones on AWS and GCP, maintaining ownership over VPC/Project hierarchies, subnetting, and IAM security frameworks.
• Lead the design and troubleshooting of Kubernetes networking components, including CNI plugins like Cilium and Calico, Service Meshes, Ingress Controllers, and Load Balancers.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Docker and Kubernetes, optimizing cluster network performance and managing EKS/GKE cluster scaling.
• Develop sophisticated Python scripts and automation tools to streamline network provisioning, health auditing, and custom integrations with cloud APIs.

Must have:

• 10 Years of experience in network infrastructure design and implementation, with a focus on cloud-native architectures and a Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in ground-to-cloud connectivity solutions, including hands-on experience with AWS and GCP environments.
• Good understanding of network security principles and best practices across hybrid infrastructures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset with a dedicated problem-solving approach to complex technical challenges.
