Recreation Aid (Trainee-Lifeguard) NF-01

This position is located at Fort Lee, VA - MWR Battle Drive Pool. Incentives and Bonuses If hired for this position, DFMWR will be paying for the lifeguard certification. Incentives will not be paid. Please note: This is an open continuous announcement to provide a ready pool of available applicants as needed. Applicants will be referred as vacancies occur.

Note: This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Must participate in all required training (emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations). Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment.

Training: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS);

American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); First Aid.

Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020.

Performs other duties as assigned.
