Recreation Supervisor

Reporting to the Director, Spa & Recreation, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Welcome guests to the Spa and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable experience
  • Ensure all guests are registered prior to using the fitness facility
  • To have full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned workplace.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricing, offerings, schedules, specials, and other services provided at the spa.
  • Provide bespoke guest service to every guest who enters the Gym and Spa as per the Fairmont Standard Operating Procedures
  • Ensure all guests are aware of the guidelines regarding the use of the facility
  • Maintain cleanliness of all types of equipment, public and service areas
  • Ensure guests members are aware of all programs and activities available
  • Bus and stock all service area items including towels, water, ice, beverages, magazines, newspapers and clean headsets
  • Schedule of all colleagues in all department of Recreation & Wellness and ensure smooth operation of the reception.
  • Provide guests with all information regarding the fitness facility and its offerings
  • Provide all administrative duties as required
  • Assist in promoting the facility and organizing special events as required
  • Report any equipment that needs servicing
  • Provide a high level of guest satisfaction through effective communication
  • The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director of recreation & Entertainment and the team to operational excellence while understanding and executing the short- and long-term goals established by the Director of Recreation & Entertainment.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies

Other duties as assigned

  • Previous experience in a fitness facility an asset
  • Certification in CPR First Aid required
  • organized and a great team player
  • Passionate about wellness and a healthy working environment
  • Implementing programs whereby the Spa Journey intensifies through a combination of individual touches and experiences
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
