You will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Plan and implement therapeutic recreational programs and activities for day rehabilitation clients under the supervision of the Program Director
  • Conducts various therapeutic recreation programs for clients including, but not limited to creative expressive programs (writing, dramatics, music, arts, and crafts), light physical activities (walking, yoga, meditation), group games, special events and programs.
  • Facilitate groups on time and in a professional, ethical, and caring manner.
  • Provide backup coverage in the event of other clinical staff absences.
  • Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team that consults with other healthcare professionals in service delivery.
  • Demonstrate initiative in task identification and completion; use time efficiently and work with the Program Director to effectively handle volume of work.
  • Complete all documentation (i.e., progress notes, group notes) in a timely manner.
