Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Execute and refine the strategic enrollment management plan, including targeted outreach to specific student populations.
- Represent Luna Community College at high school visits, college fairs, community events, and other recruitment opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors, teachers, community leaders, and other key influencers.
- Provide accurate and timely information to prospective students and their families regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid options, scholarships, and student life.
- Conduct presentations and workshops on college admissions and financial aid processes.
- Manage and track recruitment activities, including inquiries, applications, and enrollment data.
- Manage student communication
- Track recruitment progress.
- Collaborate with other college departments to ensure a smooth and efficient enrollment process for new students.
- Assist with the development of recruitment materials, including brochures, flyers, and website content.
- Participate in college-wide events and initiatives such as open houses, collaborative community events, student orientation, and other events as assigned.
- Stay current on trends in higher education and recruitment best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
OTHER DUTIES
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support institutional goals.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES
- Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruitment, marketing, or a related field such as customer service.
- Experience in higher education recruitment or admissions preferred but not required.
- Understanding of college admissions processes, financial aid programs, and student support services.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in using technology tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL FACTORS
- This position requires some evening and weekend work.
- Travel within the region is required.
- The work environment is typically an office setting, but may also include attending events in various locations.
