GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Regional Services Education Manager (RSEM) is responsible for leading a team of 9 to 16 Services District Educators (SDEs) that implement service training for all titles of salon professionals. This role is responsible for maintaining consistency in field education by promoting and auditing education trainings and processes in their Region. The RSEM also contributes to talent and guest retention by driving recruiting efforts for the region and supports growth in the services business, (including Personal Care Appliances/ProHair) through coaching, developing and leading the Salon District Educators to execute best practices and training quality within their district. The RSEM partners with the District Managers and Regional Vice President to provide thought leadership regarding education and development of the Services District Educators.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Job Functions)

  • Understanding of, and proficiency with, the salon business, color, design & texture

People

  • Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team of SDEs for the Region
  • Implement and train District Managers and Services District Educators on all education practices
  • Plan, manage and facilitate train the trainer sessions for SDEs within designated region
  • Builds a team culture that embodies the Ulta Beauty brand, delivering exceptional service & modeling on-brand, Ulta beauty behaviors
  • Lead change and innovation by helping the Region through the change-curve
  • Responsible for Services District Educator development by management of their IDP, on-boarding and monthly region education conference calls.
  • Partner with Regional Service Manager to maintain a cohesive relationship between Services District Leaders (SDLs) and SDEs
  • Serving as a support partner to the Regional Vice President (RVP), Regional Services Manager (RSM) and District Managers (DM) within their Region to develop action plans and goals

Process

  • Ability to facilitate training to various size audiences
  • Travel stores within region to observe and audit education and education-focused field visits
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across a variety of associate levels, work independently and as part of a team
  • Identify gaps in education processes and procedures and provide solutions/and or feedback to drive growth
  • Supports successful execution of networking and recruiting strategies within the region
  • The ability to work a flexible full-time scheduled (to include days, evening, weekends, and holidays)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years relevant, fast-paced retail management work experience or other relevant work experience
  • Financial management: success with driving top-line sales, interpreting reporting data, managing payroll budgets, and controlling expense
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state board of cosmetology regulations and hiring requirements
  • Leadership management: experience with attracting, developing, and motivating top talent, swiftly adapting to change and leading others through the change-curve, developing collaborative relationships with others, and leading and influencing
  • Retail management: proven ability with monitoring inventory levels, achieving operational excellence, driving a service culture and executing merchandise directives.

Skills

  • Proficient with basic technology (e.g., POS system, Microsoft Office programs, and Apple devices)
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with moving parts

Special Position Requirements

  • 2 years multi-unit management experience
  • Up to 75% travel

Working Conditions

  • Continuous mobility throughout the store on a daily basis
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Stoop, kneel, and crouch on an occasional basis
  • Climb a ladder and maintain balance on an occasional basis

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the execution of the Salon Legendary program which within the regions. Supports the Regional Vice President and District Manager in growing their salon business to meet or exceed salon financial metrics including; service revenue, average ticket, guest count, guest retention, rebooking, skin treatments, pro hair retail revenue (BTC), retention/turnover and contribution goals.
  • Demonstrates business acumen, with a strong understanding of salon financial reporting and key business drivers and can identify opportunities for growth within own location and district.
  • Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of ULTA Salon Operations Development and Grand Opening training and has mentored other Salon Market Trainers on content and deliver these trainings in a consistent manner dictated by ULTA corporate training material.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks including: Planning, prioritization, and delegation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to actively partner/contribute and create momentum while building trust and rapport with various levels of associates/leadership/organization.
  • Strong verbal communication and facilitation skills; able to break information down into clear concise steps using various vehicles of communication including conference calls, email, team meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Must be able to write business strategies, coaching programs, SPDM review and future operational modules in conjunction with the Salon Services team.
  • Leads district/region execution of salon operations/business building initiatives to drive key performance indicators within timeline given.
  • Conducts on boarding and training for District Managers, General Managers Salon Market Trainers and Salon Managers assimilate to the salon business.
  • Demonstrates high standards for customer service and salon image standards, internal candidates would exemplify ULTA standards and consistently deliver ULTA Experience service model.
  • Ability to facilitate training to various size audiences and coach operational salon skills to achieve results.



The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $112,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
