The Regional Category Manager leads the regional sourcing activities for the goods and/or services that fall under its category responsibility. The sourcing activities need to ensure availability of the relevant goods and service at the best value possible for Armacell. The Regional Category Manager will lead the development of the category sourcing strategies which include activities like market analysis, supplier evaluation, competitive bidding process, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management and other key sourcing activities.
The role reports to the Regional Procurement Manager.

Job Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
Develops category sourcing strategies for the assigned Regional Categories.
Selects, develops and evaluates suppliers to meet Armacell’s demand, service and quality requirements for the different sites in the Region.
Provides key market knowledge and developments that impacts the category supplier industries and shares regular Exec Summaries and acts as the internal expert for key internal stakeholders.
Leads RFI, RFP and negotiations to ensure the selection of the best value suppliers that meet our commercial and supply requirements.
Consolidates all current and future needs (volumes, quality, service levels, etc.) from all Armacell sites and key stakeholders in the Region.
Continuously engages with key stakeholders at Armacell to ensure alignment on business need and sourcing strategies.
Contract Management
Leads contract negotiations with selected suppliers.
Ensures contract management follow up (rebate capture, contract renewal, etc.) for contracts under the category manager responsibility.
Aligns with legal team when needed on appropriate amendments to contract template.
Recommends improvements to contract template.
Supplier Relationship Management
Develops appropriate KPIs and performance measures for each category’s key deliverables.
Tracks supplier performance and initiate improvement projects where appropriate.
Ensures alignment and support from all relevant Armacell sites on supplier performance and improvement plans when needed.
Supports Operations, Innovation, Product Conformity and Engineering when supplier knowledge is required to support Armacell projects.
Reporting and Forecasting
Provides price actuals, price forecasts and other relevant commercial information for the financial and controlling reporting processes (Purchase Price Variance, Budgeting, Payment Terms evolutions, Working Capital, etc.)
Ensures appropriate tracking, reporting and business alignment on value and savings creation.
Supplier Risk Management
Ensures the appropriate Risk management is done for all suppliers that fall under the category manager scope.
Support the WAM ‘Supplier Risk Management’ process by providing the necessary insights and supplier risk analysis.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business or Chemistry
3-5 years in a commercial role, ideally in a Global Category sourcing role
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent Stakeholder management skills (e.g. finance, site management, supply chain, legal, Product conformity, etc.) and influential skills
Excellent analytical skills
Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes and best practices
Strong negotiation skills
Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills

The expected compensation range for this role is $82,500.00 -$95,000.00.
The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience, and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
