JOB TITLE: Regional Development Officer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Advance the seminary’s development program through cultivation, solicitation, and

stewardship of mid-level donors outside North Carolina.

• Build meaningful, mission-driven relationships that increase engagement and financial

support.

• Travel regionally and nationally as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - GENERAL

• Collaborate with Financial & Alumni Development leadership in all aspects of the

program.

• Support annual giving strategies and campaign initiatives.

• Participate in meetings and assist with donor and alumni events.

• Serve as an ambassador for Southeastern.

DONOR CULTIVATION / DONOR RELATIONS

• Manage a portfolio of optimally 150 mid-level donors ($1,000–$5,000) outside NC.

• Conduct 100 significant interactions annually (50% solicitations / 50% qualification, cultivation &

stewardship).

• Use moves-management strategies to strengthen relationships.

DATA ENTRY & REPORTING

• Document all donor activity in Slate.

• Track progress toward activity and revenue goals.

• Ensure data accuracy with Advancement Operations.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with advancement projects and campaigns.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
