Regional General Manager Geelong

Are you a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of community advocacy and commercial success?
As the Regional General Manager for Geelong, you will serve as the ultimate ambassador for our local masthead and a champion for News Corp brands within the local market. This important leadership role bridges the gap between driving a high-performing consumer subscription business and fostering deep, customer-centric client relationships to fund it.
You will lead a cross-functional regional office, cultivate high-level community and business connections, and drive the profitability and market dominance of our local publishing footprint.
Key Responsibilities
Review and manage the masthead P&L, direct cost base, and product portfolio to exceed Client revenue budgets and maximize regional profitability.
Build deep, senior-level client and boardroom relationships. Lead impactful commercial advocacy campaigns that leverage our brand equity to inspire the local market.
Collaborate closely with the Editor and executive teams to strengthen audience engagement, understand consumer behaviors, and ensure our product remains highly innovative.
Execute core publishing objectives, support the local sales team on revenue plans, and deliver rigorous weekly reporting on commercial and community outcomes.
Inspire and manage a cross-functional regional team. Foster a high-performance, client-focused sales culture, mentor local talent, and champion an inclusive, respectful office environment.

Delivering on locally generated, digital, and total masthead Client budgets.
Driving year-on-year revenue growth in local commercial advocacy.
Managing controllable regional costs within the direct expense budget.
