Job Title: Manager, Training Development and Effectiveness

Position Overview:
This position will work with the Director of Sales Training and Development to identify training needs for Insulet field organizations. They will engage internal and external experts to develop training modules and needed training content required to effectively increase the knowledge and demonstrated capabilities of intended audience.

Responsibilities:
Work cooperatively with the Commercial team (Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Customer Care, and Reimbursement) to identify on-going training needs.
Identify and deliver timely responses to changing market conditions and opportunities via Zoom/WebEx, written communication, conference calls and meetings.
Work with the Director of Sales Training, Field Management and Marketing to develop and deliver appropriate workshops at Sales meetings.
Work with Regional Business Directors, District Sales Managers and Inside Sales Managers to ensure effective initial training of new field-based employees in addition to providing ongoing selling skills training for existing field teams.
Conduct field co-travels and reviews to ensure adequate and consistent training and coaching is being done for all new and existing field employees. Prepare and deliver coaching feedback in person and by utilizing field coaching reports.
Assist new and experienced sales and clinical team members with developing and enhancing their product and customer knowledge and selling skills to increase field effectiveness.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with field sales team to effectively influence selling strategies.
Support the Insulet Training Department in developing new hire training curriculum for Commercial and Inside Sales Team new hire and for CASE training (Clinical and Sales Effectiveness) trainings
Recommend and develop and implement annual training and development objectives and programs.
Manage reporting requirements necessary to support training and development of employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree; minimum 8 years of experience in the field including 5 years strong Sales, Clinical and/or Training experience in medical device or healthcare industry; strong diabetes disease state and pump knowledge required.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:

Internal Candidates – Field Sales Training experience is preferred.
Appropriate certifications in professional education or training methods preferred.
Proven track record of consistent performance in meeting or exceeding expectations
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, clinical selling knowledge, coaching and development skills.
Must be able to work effectively cross-functionally.
Must have the ability and drive to take on multiple projects while balancing multiple priorities and critical deadlines.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to message and deliver constructive and motivational feedback to enhance performance and results.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively engage participants in an in person or virtual classroom setting.

Ability to generate and maintain accurate records.
Physical Requirements (if applicable):

Travel will vary weekly based on business needs; travel is expected to be 50% on average; Relocation not required.

Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Sr. Manager, Field Training, the Regional Sales Trainer role will focus on bridging new hire training learnings to practical execution. This role helps Field Sales representatives apply training in real-world selling situations by reinforcing sales model application, effective resource utilization, approved sales strategies, and territory unit partnership alignment, while addressing observed knowledge or skill gaps and reinforcing expected selling behaviors.

The Regional Sales Trainer works in alignment with cross functional teams and Sales Leadership to reinforce consistent understanding and execution of sales initiatives across the Field Sales. For this role, you will work closely with our salespeople to identify challenges they face on-the-job and recommend ways to increase productivity and support the drive to new customers' starts. Ultimately, you will help increase the overall performance of our sales teams and ensure they have the skills to achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Sales team in building capabilities that drive sustainable sales growth, confidence, and consistency

  • Travel extensively in the field with new hires to coach, observe, and reinforce selling skills, product knowledge, and clinical messaging during real customer interactions

  • Onboard and develop new salespeople, supporting their transition from classroom training to field execution reinforcing pull through and feedback loops

  • Partner with District Sales Managers, Regional Business Directors, Sales Training and Clinical Business to align on developmental priorities, coaching plans, and performance support

  • Coordinate and facilitate individual and team coaching sessions to reinforce strengths, address skill gaps, and support ongoing development

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation of field coaching activities, training pull‑through, and developmental progress

  • Ensure all training and field coaching activities adhere to company policies, compliance, and regulatory requirements

  • Develop, adapt, and successfully deliver training programs in classroom, virtual, and field settings

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, initiative, and flexibility in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Sales Training and Commercial objectives

Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be a self-starter and have ability to work with limited supervision

  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms

  • Thorough knowledge of and skill in using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Strong written, verbal, and in‑the‑moment coaching communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, actionable feedback during ride‑along observations

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and collaboration skills, with the ability to balance field travel, coaching demands, and training initiatives

  • Highly organized and customer‑focused, with the ability to tailor coaching and training support to individual and team needs

  • Proven self‑starter who can operate effectively in a field‑based role with limited supervision, while maintaining strong alignment with leadership and training partners

  • Experience leveraging e‑learning platforms to support, reinforce, and scale new hire and ongoing sales development

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to adapt materials for field training, coaching conversations, and performance tracking

  • Hands‑on experience coaching, mentoring, or developing sales professionals in the field, virtual, or hybrid environment

  • Proven ability to deliver feedback, reinforce skill development, and drive behavior change through coaching

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in a sales driven position

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in field sales leadership or field sales training in a related industry (healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical device, or diabetes)

  • Knowledge of diabetes disease state and insulin pump therapy

  • Learning Management System experience

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Additional Information

  • The position is field based and requires extensive travel up to 80% and may vary depending on business needs

  • Must reside in the geographical region designated for the role

For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary for this role is $135,000 - 140,000. This position is eligible for incentive compensation.
