Position Overview:

Shaw's Retail Sales Division is looking to hire a Regional Vice President of Residential Sales to lead it's Northern New England and Albany, NY market. This people leader will consistently achieve desired business results, positively influence customers and develop and facilitate the continued growth of the Territory Sales Managers (TMs) on their team. This leader is responsible for leading, motivating, training, and directing the Territory Managers to accomplish the corporate goals for their assigned brands. A key responsibility of the Regional Vice President is the implementation, development, and management of all programs, be it product introductions, product promotions, sample placement, or the communication of any specific programs.

The RVP operates in a servant leadership model, translating strategy into action while maintaining a strong presence in the field. This leader partners cross-functionally with marketing, product, supply chain, and customer experience teams to deliver a unified “One-Shaw” experience and drive profitable growth across all product categories. This role also provides strategic leadership and operational direction for the Mainstreet Commercial brands (Philadelphia Commercial and Queen Commercial) within the Residential channel, ensuring alignment between enterprise initiatives and in-market execution.

This position will reside in and work from the Northern NE or Albany area.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Regional Performance

  • Own and deliver on regional sales, margin, and market share goals

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with divisional priorities

  • Monitor performance metrics and adjust go-to-market strategies

Lead, Coach, and Develop Talent

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Territory Managers

  • Conduct regular ride-alongs and one-on-one coaching sessions

  • Identify talent gaps and develop succession plans

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build relationships with key dealers and strategic accounts

  • Maintain deep understanding of market dynamics and competition

  • Represent Shaw in the field and at industry events

Execute “One-Shaw” Strategy

  • Align brands, product categories, and internal teams

  • Ensure execution of product launches and initiatives

  • Drive a solutions-oriented customer approach

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Manage regional performance with P&L understanding

  • Execute pricing, programs, and profitability targets

  • Partner internally to resolve customer challenges

Change Leadership & Execution

  • Lead change initiatives with accountability

  • Set performance expectations and standards

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of previous Territory Management experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must reside within the division (Northern New England / Albany, NY)

  • Frequent travel required

Preferred Experiences and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Proven leadership experience in sales within flooring, building products, or related industry

  • Strong understanding of retail distribution and dealer networks

  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and profitability goals

  • Strong business and financial acumen including the knowledge and understanding of owning P&L.
