Registered Nurse/Educator

Responsible for ensuring successful academic and personal development of licensed practical nursing students through clinical instruction.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical instruction to team members in the acute care settings, ensuring alignment with program standards and patient care best practice
• Foster a supportive and engaging clinical learning environment that promotes academic success, critical thinking, and professional development.
• Prepare and maintain team member progress evaluations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor and document, clinical performance, competency, ensure adherence to program philosophy and established objectives.
• Utilize and implement evaluation tools and assessment methods to measure student learning outcomes, clinical competency, and overall progress.
• Maintain professional expertise and credentials through ongoing participation in continuing education, in-service training, and academic development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations, unit and team member success.

Schedule:

• Full time, Days
• 7am-7pm
• Weekends as needed for team coverage
  

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• BSN, BLS, or ACLS required.
• Orthopedic Nurse Certification preferred/ANCC certification required.

Relevant Experience:

• Demonstrated knowledge of: Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), Quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, Adult learning principles and competency validation
• Active participation in: Professional development and continuing education, Shared governance or professional practice councils, Interprofessional collaboration and staff development
• 2-3 years of experience in acute care or relevant area.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
