Registered Nurse - Resource Team

The Fargo VA Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse to be a part of our Resource Team with our Acute Care Service Line. This position will float throughout our inpatient units to provide care for our Veterans.

This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until July 23, 2026 or all vacant positions are filled. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be May 4, 2026. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. There is no need to reapply if not originally selected. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: VA Nurse Total Rewards Duties of the Registered Nurse - Resource Team include, but are not limited to: Provides competent, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients and oversees LPNs and NAs in accordance with unit standards and patient needs. Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care focused on education, self-management, and satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Administers medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately following established policies, guidelines, and documentation requirements. Demonstrates leadership by contributing to interdisciplinary care planning, supporting team communication, and influencing care outcomes through effective collaboration. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing education, orientation, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives. Promotes a safe, supportive learning environment by sharing knowledge, providing informal peer feedback, and fostering professional growth among healthcare team members. Continuously evaluates clinical practice, questions existing processes, and advocates for evidence-based improvements to sustain a culture of quality care. Adapts to changing priorities, schedules, and staffing needs while maintaining high standards of clinical practice and customer service.
