RN Coordinator – Orthopedic Services Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Coordinate patient care for orthopedic surgeons across clinic and hospital settings
- Conduct patient assessments, education, and follow-up care
- Coordinate pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative processes
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Facilitate communication between surgeons, nursing staff, therapy, and ancillary services
Care Coordination & Operations
- Serve as primary point of contact for patients and families
- Ensure scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and diagnostics are completed timely
- Support clinic and hospital workflows for efficiency and patient flow
- Address patient concerns promptly and professionally
- Assist with quality improvement and process standardization initiatives
Professional & Team Expectations
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered service
- Build strong relationships with providers, staff, and leadership
- Maintain professionalism, discretion, and empathy at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in orthopedic, surgical, or acute care preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)

- Ability to travel between clinic and hospital sites (up to 1 hour)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
