Remuneration: $42.50 - $54.62/ hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Are you an experienced Scrub Scout looking to work with cutting-edge technology, complex surgical procedures and some of Queensland's leading Orthopaedic surgeons?
At St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, you'll be part of a high-performing Theatre team delivering exceptional care across a diverse range of Orthopaedic specialties. From joint replacements and sports medicine to complex spinal and trauma surgery, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As part of our Orthopaedic team, you'll gain exposure to:
• MAKO SmartRobotics assisted joint replacement surgery
• Advanced navigation and surgical technologies
• Complex hip, knee and shoulder procedures
• Sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery
• Upper limb trauma via emergency department
• Revision joint replacement surgery
This is an exciting opportunity to build expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of modern surgery while working alongside highly experienced surgeons and theatre professionals.
What Makes a Difference for Us?
• Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
• Previous Scrub Scout experience in Orthopaedics or another surgical specialty highly regarded
• Interest in developing skills across a variety of surgical specialties, with support to expand your clinical scope
• Opportunity to learn and work with MAKO SmartRobotics technology as part of our Orthopaedic service
• Previous experience with robotic-assisted surgery or surgical navigation systems is highly desirable but not essential
• Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and delivering exceptional patient-centred care
• Desire for ongoing professional development and continuous learning
• Strong communication, teamwork and adaptability within a multidisciplinary theatre environment
• Australian working rights (we are unable to offer sponsorship currently)
• Availability to work across AM and PM shifts (no night shifts required) with occasional on-call commitments
• Willingness to meet vaccination and immunisation requirements in line with hospital infection prevention and control standards
