Serving on the Regulatory and Stewardship Global Leadership Team (RAS GLT), the Regulatory and Stewardship Operations Management role is responsible for leading the critical operations areas that support the entire Regulatory and Stewardship (RAS) subfunction including administration, initiative planning, safety, and functional operating activities. The role will also support the VP of Regulatory and Stewardship as a coordinator and spokesperson for executing cross-RAS leadership team projects as well as drafting presentations/documents for the VP of RAS for internal/external engagements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and coordinate the development of technical materials for internal/external engagement for the VP of RAS. These technical materials include, but are not limited to: technical presentations, building a library of slide content for different audiences, coordinating across scientists and leaders the briefing materials for site visits, written documents and email communications, content for RAS town halls and RAS communication meetings, etc.
  • Coordination and administration of the support needed for the RAS GLT team to be able to deliver on projects, external and internal.
    • Proactively manage RAS budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of funds including capital, expenses, and travel.
  • Design and lead the development of leadership team agendas, manage organizational reviews, and track progress updates on key activities within RAS.
    • Planning, updating, implementing, tracking, and ensuring accuracy of GLT member actions and key metrics.
    • Develop strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and improve GLT relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Talent Management - Support talent development metrics, people success teams, and workforce planning, including contractor and post doc strategy.
    • Coordinate end of year employee calibration effort to ensure accurate reporting, metrics, and distribution within RAS.
  • Identifies and champions improvement opportunities in implementing organizational strategies, and strategic workforce planning processes.
    • Empowers, enables, and develops operations team members to drive this vision.
    • Challenges team to identify opportunities to deliver data driven improvements to current processes.

What You Need:

  • Education & Experience: B.S, M.S. or MBA in Science or Business Administration. Minimum five years of industry or public sector experience. Program management and project leadership experience. Administrative leadership experience. Planning and excellent cross-team execution.
  • Results Driven: Self-motivated and ability to initiate projects, improvements, decisions, and problem solving. Detail-oriented, strong time management and organizational skills. Sense of urgency and rapid iteration.
  • Digital Proficiency: Ability to leverage tools, data, and systems to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
  • Planning and Organization Skills: Exhibits effective planning and organizing skills required to integrate several elements to reach planned goals to facilitate the efficiency of future-oriented learning, problem-solving, and task completion.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with diverse groups of people. Ability to present compelling updates, plans and proposals to multiple levels of leaders; presenting information in an easy to understand and consumable manner.
  • Project, program, portfolio management skills: Initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects. The discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of a specific project. Demonstrate track record of documenting decisions and priorities.
  • Strategic thinking: Focus on the analysis of critical factors and variables that will influence the long-term success of the business.
    Collaboration: Creates a culture of belonging, seeks win-win solutions, easily works across functions and teams to advance project goals and milestones. Understands Regulatory and Stewardship teams and manages relationship with how RAS interacts with other R&D functions in the business.
  • Safety Oriented: Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices. Addresses risks and contingencies as part of safety and planning process.
  • Budget and Capital planning and coordination: Proactively manage budgets. Identifies right balance of need for adequate planning with need for action. Exhibits the ability to move efficiently, carefully, quickly, and purposefully to make it possible to synchronize the planning action to execution as appropriately as possible, including group tours, events, travel, conferences.
