About the Role

The position

We are looking for a Relationship Analyst (“RA”) within our Institutional business channel. The successful candidate will be an integral member of our Australia and New Zealand (“ANZ”) Team and will be primarily responsible for supporting growth and strengthening relationships with our institutional clients.

Responsibilities

Commanding a thorough knowledge of our business and the Institutional landscape in ANZ, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, the RA will work closely with the Business Developers (“BDs”) and Relationship Managers (“RMs”) in supporting our business development activities and maintaining service quality for our existing client relationships. The RA will also work with a range of internal stakeholders across Legal and Compliance, Portfolio Management, Product Management, Trading, Marketing, Operations and other functions to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Principal responsibilities will include:

  • Provide end-to-end support on new business opportunities, including RFPs and RFIs, pitch materials coordination, meeting preparations and follow ups
  • Partner with BDs and RMs on new client onboarding and implementations
  • Respond to client inquiries on a wide range of topics, including portfolio and product/strategy specific information, investment guidelines and market trends, often with a short turnaround time
  • Capturing and maintaining client data in relevant internal CRM systems and Salesforce, in particular
  • Build and develop internal network relationships and manage internal stakeholders for effective collaboration
  • Continuously build on the depth and breadth of understanding of our clients, Wellington products and strategies, and market
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client priorities and market developments and be able to effectively communicate client expectations with internal teams.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a passion for learning about global capital markets. In-depth knowledge of the broad asset classes and/or hedge funds and private investments is strongly preferred. Interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/ problem-solving orientation are required. The successful candidate should be organized and pay strong attention to details.

Candidates should possess a demonstrable track record of achievement, capacity for differentiated thinking, strong work ethic and willingness to work with others. This position will require the ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, where priorities may change frequently, and deadlines often need to be met under significant time pressure.

Other required qualifications include:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience within the investment management industry
  • Direct buy-side experience supporting Institutional relationships is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrate interest in applying AI and digital tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall client and firm outcomes.
  • Strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree with preference given to candidates who have undertaken post-graduate study or are progressing towards a CFA
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, specifically in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
