*ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKERS*
Major Responsibilities
- Under supervision, repair and install fences, sidewalks and playground equipment.
- Mix and spread cement and concrete.
- Apply “cold patch” or cold asphalt to fix potholes.
- Install and repair Belgian and Hex block.
- Fill post holes with concrete and cement.
- Install steel posts.
- Move, lift and carry heavy objects related to the work site.
- Excavate.
- Assist in guardrail repair.
- Use a jackhammer and compressor.
- Lay asphalt.
Qualification Requirements
**This vacancy is only open to current permanent Year-Round Associate Park Service Workers or those on leave from the title.
Additional Information:
- Selection is based on seniority and ability to perform Heavy Duty tasks.
- *Appointees to this position will receive a prorated Heavy Duty Differential, in addition to base APSW salary.

ASSOCIATE PARK SERVICE WORKER - 81106
1. A four-year high school diploma or its education equivalent and 6 months of full-time satisfactory paid experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or
2. One year of full-time experience in gardening, grounds or tree maintenance, or in the building, construction or maintenance trades; or
License Requirement:
Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver License valid in the State of New York. There may be certain age requirements to obtain this license. Employees must maintain the Class B Commercial Driver License during their employment.
