Renewals Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Renewals Specialist based in India.

This role sits at the heart of customer retention and revenue continuity, ensuring clients receive consistent value throughout their subscription lifecycle. You will manage a portfolio of accounts, driving timely renewals while identifying opportunities to expand usage and strengthen long-term partnerships. Acting as a key commercial link between customers and internal teams, you will collaborate closely with sales, finance, and customer success stakeholders. The environment is fast-paced, data-informed, and highly collaborative, requiring strong judgment and relationship-building skills. Your work directly contributes to revenue stability and growth while shaping customer satisfaction and loyalty. Accountabilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end renewal cycle for a portfolio of SaaS customers, ensuring timely contract renewals and high retention rates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior decision-makers, to support long-term account success.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand account value during the renewal process.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as sales, customer success, finance, and legal to align on renewal strategies and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor customer health indicators and proactively engage at-risk accounts to mitigate churn and improve satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate account, contact, and renewal data using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) across the customer lifecycle.

  • Requirements:

    • 1–3 years of experience in Renewals, Account Management, or similar roles within a SaaS environment.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and clearly with clients via email, phone, and meetings.
    • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage contract discussions and close renewals effectively.
    • Experience working with CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
    • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to understand business needs and deliver value-driven solutions.
    • Analytical and proactive approach to managing accounts and identifying growth opportunities.
