Research and Development Engineer

You will design, build, and maintain production-grade AI agents to automate internal processes and improve team efficiency. You will develop and own end-to-end AI pipelines including data preparation, LLM integration, orchestration, error handling, and observability. You will implement skills, tools and MCP integrations for agentic systems, evaluate and select AI frameworks and models, maintain a registry of agents and infrastructure with versioning and changelogs, collaborate with Security to meet access control and data handling requirements, and document and share approaches to build internal expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI agents to automate internal processes and boost team efficiency
• Develop and own end-to-end AI pipelines including data preparation, LLM integration, orchestration, error handling, and observability
• Write skills, tools and MCP integrations for agentic systems including function calling and multi-agent coordination
• Evaluate and select AI frameworks, models and APIs
• Document approaches and share knowledge to build internal expertise
• Maintain a registry of agents and infrastructure with versioning, changelogs, ownership and dependencies
• Collaborate with Security to implement access controls, data handling, audit logs and vendor approvals

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Go or Python
• Proven track record of owning technical initiatives from idea to production
• Understanding of LLMs including prompt engineering, context management and structured output
• Experience working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini
• Experience building and deploying AI agents in production including tool use, memory and multi-step workflows
• Strong analytical skills including defining success metrics and measuring impact
• Practice AI-assisted development daily
• Exceptional problem-solving and ability to work independently
• Good level of spoken and written English
