Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Associate with hands-on laboratory experience in protein biochemistry and/or molecular biology. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment and is eager to contribute directly to FL106’s scientific platform.

Responsibilities

Plan and run experiments
Design plasmids and expression constructs
Amplify and purify nucleic acids
Express, purify, and characterize proteins
Measure protein binding with SPR, ITC, KinExa, and related techniques
Conduct cell culture experiments, including cell line maintenance, transfection, and characterization
Report results clearly to the scientific team

Key Qualifications

A. or B.S. in biomedical engineering, physics, biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or biology
2+ years of industry experience
Proven track record of research in the form of academic publications or patent filings
Strong communicator and collaborative team player with keen attention to detail

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. FL106 currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
