Research Fellow (Water Resources Engineering)
School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is a leading school for sustainable built environment. The key objective is to support efforts to spearhead tertiary education, advance research innovations and provide professional services.
We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on an on-going project on risk analysis of subdaily rainfall events. The role will focus on rainfall network and statistical analysis, rainfall extreme evaluation, and climate change impact assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out research works on rainfall analysis, network construction, and climate change impact assessment
Publish journal papers
Coordinate with other research staff or students in project discussions and deliverables
Job Requirements:
PhD in Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or related fields
A good academic publication record
Familiar with a few key engineering software such as MATLAB, Python, R-language, and ArcGIS, etc.
Good to have knowledge of network analysis, machine learning, neural networks, rainfall analysis, or multivariate statistical analysis skills
Working experience is not required but some post-doc experience will be a plus
