Research Manager
The Role
At YouGov, we don’t just take traditional methods of market research and translate it to an online platform. Instead our mission is to disrupt the market research landscape with short, concise, to-the-point surveys offering quicker and better quality research to our clients.
This is a key Research Manager role in the Research Team of YouGov Thailand. You will be working closely with your Research team and clients, developing and managing client accounts and running diverse projects (including brand health tracking, customer experience, new product development, advertising test, PR study, etc.).
You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Thai and English, a willingness to learn and embrace a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
What will I be delivering?
- Data analysis and reporting: Analyze research results to identify key insights and demographic trends. Prepare clear, accurate and compelling reports.
- Project management: Co-ordinate and manage research projects from beginning to end either independently or as part of a team. Work with the Head of Research and Research Team on project plans, resources, operations (questionnaire design, script,…, deliverables) and problem solving.
- Account Management: Work side by side with the Head of Research on account management to understand client needs, advocate the best research practices and provide relevant and useful insights from research, ultimately to create client engagement and growing portfolio.
- New business development support: Collaborate with New Business team to prepare quotations and proposals in response to research briefs from the prospects via NB team.
- Collaboration within & across team: Work effectively and collaboratively with local and operational teams in YouGov’s Centre of Excellence (CENX) to ensure efficient fieldwork management, data processing and report preparing.
- Staff management (optional): Manage 1-2 Research Executives, coach and mentor them through key aspects of their projects including questionnaire design, scripting online surveys, data analytics and report writing. You’ll be the key member to lead the entire research process from project set-up to delivery.
- Efficiency improvement: Proactively identify ways to improve efficiency of operations and service delivery to ensure high quality outputs can be sustainably delivered within the research team.
Qualifications
What do I need to bring with me?
- Solid understanding of research design, online / offline and basic discipline of research methodologies, sampling, questionnaire design, questionnaire scripting, quotas and weighting and significance testing.
- Advanced statistical & analytical and numerical skills.
- A proactive with can-do and positive attitude to learning and helping others.
- Self-discipline and motivation.
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work across multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
- At least 5 years market research experience in a research agency (experience in online / offline research, custom study and syndicated study would be advantage).
- Excellent communication skills (writing, speaking, listening and presentation skills) both in Thai and English
- Thai citizen
