Position Salary Range: $61,000 - $70,000 Annually: DOE

Job Description: The Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics is looking for an individual to work closely and collaboratively with unit leadership, university research teams, and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and apply for internal and external research grants in support of strategic initiatives. This position will supervise the overall management of multiple interdisciplinary, inter-university research projects.

Essential Duties:

  • Plans, develops, implements, and manages project teams through complete task definitions and work requirements, identification, and assignments.

  • Works closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders to define project scope, strategy, budget, and outcomes; research, coordinates, and writes applications for external grant funding.

  • Prepares and maintains project status reports and schedules; tracks milestones/deliverables, critical paths and dependencies; resets expectations as needed in consideration of project progress/outcomes. Responds to all inquiries regarding project status.

  • With Business Operations and/or post-award staff, prepares and responds to all regulatory reporting/filings to ensure compliance; oversees all relevant grant contracts and speaker contracts for grant and research projects.

  • Organizes events related to research projects and works closely with Communications Program Coordinator to carry out event set up.

  • Manages, coaches, and supervises research project team members both internal and contracted to ensure optimal outcomes; builds, develops, and maintains relationships vital to project success.

  • Works collaboratively with Principal Investigator(s) to engage leadership, associated faculty and other research-related staff to define and identify all required projecting infrastructure including, but not limited to space, build/reconfiguration of facilities, equipment, and technology to ensure timely availability for successful launch and ongoing project operations.

  • Prepares post-project reports, budget allocations and summaries/filings to ensure timely dissemination of information to all interested parties.

  • Fosters partnerships and relationships; oversees recruitment of research participants and primary communication with research partners and participants.

  • Provides visions and support for all project deliverables, asses and plans for project risks and outcomes, designs and improves feedback measures and techniques for gathering for narrative reporting.

  • Manages internal funding program, such as but not limited to bi-annual seed grants; coordinating and managing relationships with affiliated research faculty and ongoing projects.

  • Ability to quickly change properties which may include and/or subject to resolution of conflicts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • CAPM (Certified): CAPM (Certified associate in project management) Equivalent of 1 year of project management experience.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional): Equivalent of 2 years of project management experience.

  • PgMP (Program Management Professional): Equivalent of 4 years of project management experience.

Working Environment:

  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended period of sitting, standing, walking.
