Reservation Manager
Job descriptions
- Identify Top Producing Accounts ensure proper recognition by Reservation staff
- Follow up on tentative sales bookings with respective Sales Manager to update status.
- Ensure group files are accurate and kept current and requirements are entered accurately from the sales booking sheet.
- Ensure group room blocks are released to general inventory after group’s cut-off dates or cancellation.
- Ensure rooming lists are input accurately into the PMS system.
- Follow up on any no-show from group bookings and liaise with respective Sales Manager on the non-arrival charges.
- Monitor and coordinate with sales department on close-out for agent freesale and allotment.
- Monitor daily reservation activities and communicate status with the team and training for staff
- Assist to manage and guide Reservations staff in performing all job functions; good product knowledge, upselling.
Observes and ensures that proper telephone manners are maintained at all times
- Maintain a very good reputation for the Hotel and assist to increase the overall profitability of the Hotel.
- Supervise the confirmation of Hotel Reservations via e-mail within 24 hours of receipt.
- Check arrival lists, special filling arrangements, meal plan codes follow-up report and update correct input of market segment,
rates and special arrangement, VIP etc daily.
- Ensure close follow-up on pre-payment for travel agents/company without credit facilities.
- Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures.
- Other adhoc duties as and when assigned by the Management
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity
- Requires self-initiative, analytical skills, proficiency in technical areas and customer relations.
- Requires good time management, organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
