Resident Technical Officer (C&S) – with Architectural Supervision experience
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Resident Technical Officer (Civil & Structural) to join our project team for a high rise residential development at Chuan Groove. The successful candidate will ensure all site works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and BCA regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Supervision: Perform site supervision duties per BCA regulations; report to the Project QP and Project Engineer.
- Quality Control: Oversee execution according to approved materials and methods. Inspect site and surrounding structures for damage.
- Technical Oversight: Supervise Earth Works, ERSS, monitoring instruments, Basement construction, and PPVC construction and Architectural finishing work;
- Architectural Supervision: Supervise architectural finishing works, including masonry, tiling, ceiling, and glazing, ensure they meet the Quality Mark (QM) or CONQUAS standards as required by the project specifications.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain systematic site records (material testing, site diaries) to BCA standards. Verify all As-Built and shop drawings.
- Site Management: Liaise with Contractors on scheduling, progress, site safety, and quality control.
- Communication: Provide regular progress reports, photos, and feedback on safety and maintenance to the Consultant.
Requirements
- Professional Registration: Must be currently registered with IES/ACES as an RTO (C&S).
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant C&S experience on construction sites. The candidate must have proven track record of supervising Architectural works and coordinating between C&S and Architectural trades to ensure seamless integration (especially in PPVC modules). Prior experience in PPVC construction is preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Conversant in local legislation, BCA regulations, and Codes of Practice.
- Specialized Expertise: Proven experience in ERSS, Basement construction, and PPVC.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and professional reporting.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly systematic in record-keeping.
