RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER

  • Site Supervision: Conduct full-time supervision of mechanical works, including the installation of HVAC systems, fire fighting systems, and vertical transportation (elevators/escalators).
  • Quality Inspection: Verify that all mechanical equipment and materials delivered to the site meet the project’s quality standards and approved material submissions.
  • Testing & Commissioning (T&C): Witness and document T&C procedures for mechanical systems to ensure they are fully operational and compliant with safety codes.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all works comply with the Building Control Act, Fire Safety Act, and relevant Singapore Standards (e.g., SS 553, SS 532).
  • Site Records: Maintain accurate daily site diaries, inspection logs, and updated as-built drawings to track project progress.
  • Safety & Coordination: Work with the safety team to identify mechanical-related hazards and participate in site coordination meetings to resolve technical clashes.

Technical Requirements (Selection Criteria)

  • Accreditation: Valid registration as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of IES and ACES (Mechanical branch).
  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Singapore Polytechnic or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum [5 ] years of site experience in mechanical engineering supervision
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and load calculations. Familiarity with local BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows is an advantage.

Able to perform 5.5days per week.
