Resort Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

As the Resort Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will support resort operations by leading and coordinating projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. This role includes training team members, planning and directing daily work, evaluating performance, and resolving issues, all while working closely with department leadership.
As the Resort Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
- Coordinate, supervise, and lead projects, guest calls, blitzes, preventive maintenance, and other tasks.
- Assists Engineering and Resort leadership in managing, coordinating, and evaluating property maintenance. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems, all under the direct supervision of immediate leadership
- Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks.
- Perform routine inspections for safety, equipment performance, and quality assurance as needed.
- Lead the procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are available on-site.
- Expertise in operating and troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Experience in managing and using resort operations software and devices (HotSOS).
- Track, analyze, and interpret data reports to ensure smooth operations and proactive repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical data and O&M manuals.
- Skilled in troubleshooting all plumbing fixtures, including unclogging, repairs, and equipment replacement.
- Proficient in repairing walls, wall coverings, and ceilings through drywall patching, texturing, painting, and caulking.
- Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing appliances and electrical components.
- Ability to resolve mechanical equipment issues, such as elevators and water heaters, relevant to resort operations.
- Communicate professionally via radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as directed by resort management.
- Must follow safety guidelines and practices.
- Must be able to recognize and resolve potential hazards on the property.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools, as well as any other tools required for the job.
- Ability to work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and within confined or restricted spaces.
- Capable of understanding and addressing guest needs with positive interactions to reach solutions.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Must represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior in accordance with the Team Member Handbook.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Engineering/Maintenance/Trades operations in a resort or commercial environment.
- CPO and HVAC or EPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Written and verbal communication in English is expected.
- Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.
