Restaurant Assistant Manager
Job Description:
- Manage the daily operations of the outlet to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of the restaurant.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold Ya Kun's brand standards.
- Address customer feedback, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Build customer loyalty through consistent service excellence.
- Ensure a welcoming and pleasant dining environment.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate service and kitchen staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and manage manpower planning.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive work culture.
- Ensure food and beverages are prepared and served according to Ya Kun's operating standards.
- Monitor product quality, food presentation, and consistency.
- Ensure adherence to food hygiene and safety requirements.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain quality control measures.
- Manage inventory levels and oversee ordering of supplies and ingredients.
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory audits.
- Control food, beverage, and labor costs to achieve profitability targets.
- Monitor wastage and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor daily sales performance and achieve revenue targets.
- Prepare operational and sales reports.
- Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and banking procedures.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to drive sales growth.
- Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and employment regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and operational records.
- Ensure all staff comply with workplace safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in restaurant, café, or F&B management.
- Experience managing high-volume operations is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, inventory control, and restaurant operations.
- Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Willingness to help out in kitchen.
