Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the Front of House Team to deliver efficient, consistent service in fast-paced restaurants and cafes, supporting team members and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily restaurant operations, including cleanliness, organization, and staffing to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing shift duties to maintain operational standards
  • Lead guest relations and execute guest recovery strategies to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Set and model exceptional guest service standards for all front-of-house staff
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, holding team members accountable to company guidelines
  • Recommend hiring and termination decisions to management based on staff performance and operational needs
  • Coach, develop, and discipline front-of-house employees through ongoing feedback and performance management
  • Collaborate with Logistics and Procurement teams to manage supply deliveries, inventory control, and invoice record-keeping
  • Contribute actively in management staff meetings to support operational improvements
  • Ensure safety and security of customers and employees by adhering to loss prevention and risk management procedures

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality or related field

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proven experience opening and managing concept food spaces such as international cuisine restaurants, Chinese restaurants, or multi-stall food courts
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to build relationships and manage staff at all levels
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and people management skills with a customer service focus
  • Food and Services industry experience preferred
  • Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Slides)
  • Presentation skills (all levels including senior management)
