Restaurant Manager
Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the Front of House Team to deliver efficient, consistent service in fast-paced restaurants and cafes, supporting team members and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including cleanliness, organization, and staffing to ensure smooth service delivery
- Perform opening, mid, and closing shift duties to maintain operational standards
- Lead guest relations and execute guest recovery strategies to enhance customer satisfaction
- Set and model exceptional guest service standards for all front-of-house staff
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, holding team members accountable to company guidelines
- Recommend hiring and termination decisions to management based on staff performance and operational needs
- Coach, develop, and discipline front-of-house employees through ongoing feedback and performance management
- Collaborate with Logistics and Procurement teams to manage supply deliveries, inventory control, and invoice record-keeping
- Contribute actively in management staff meetings to support operational improvements
- Ensure safety and security of customers and employees by adhering to loss prevention and risk management procedures
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality or related field
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proven experience opening and managing concept food spaces such as international cuisine restaurants, Chinese restaurants, or multi-stall food courts
- Demonstrated leadership skills to build relationships and manage staff at all levels
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and people management skills with a customer service focus
- Food and Services industry experience preferred
- Advanced computer literacy with proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Slides)
- Presentation skills (all levels including senior management)
