The Retail Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Coffee Shop, Cafeteria and the Kaweah Gift Shop. This role ensures the smooth operation of the retail environment, manages inventory, provides exceptional customer service, and supports the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care and products to customers. A key aspect of this position includes handling cash and financial transactions with accuracy and integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS

License/Certification

Required: ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Experience

Required:

One year of experience in a high volume, fast-paced, casual dining restaurant or similar experience in a hospitality or institutional setting.

Hospitality and/or health care experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to provide a high level of customer service is critical to the success in this role

Strong Communication (verbal and written). Organizational multitasking and time management skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential

Oversees the daily operations of the retail area and ensures compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.

Coordinates with the Retail Manager/Retail Specialist to manage workflow, including inventory management, and customer service.

Ensures that all retail operations are conducted under health and safety regulations.

Provides exceptional customer service, addresses customer inquiries, resolves complaints, and ensures a positive experience for all our customers.

Completes the orientation checklist walk-through and provides an overview of the company's mission and values. Trains employees on Safety policies and procedures

Provides instruction on cash handling procedures.

Issues discussion reports for team members

Monitors inventory levels, places orders for Starbucks, Siren Grill, the Cafeteria, and manages stock to prevent shortages or excess. Responsible for monthly inventory submissions to the Director.

Conducts regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and proper stock rotation.

Collaborates with suppliers and vendors to maintain optimal inventory levels and negotiate favorable terms.

Implements and manages the F.I.F.O (Date In, First Out) method for stocking refrigerated items to ensure that older stock is used before newer stock, minimizing waste and ensuring product freshness.

Regularly checks expiration dates of refrigerated products and rotates stock accordingly.

Ensures that all refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperatures and in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Performs routine inspections of refrigeration units to ensure proper functioning and addresses any issues promptly.

Facilitates communication between staff and other departments, ensuring effective teamwork and a cohesive working environment.

Maintains accurate records and documentation related to the QA Logs.

Follows facility department and safety policies and procedures including infection control occurrences reporting Hazardous Material and waste Program Emergency Preparedness Program, confidentially, HIPAA and patient rights policies

Develops and implements promotional strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement.

Analyzes sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Coordinates with marketing teams to promote healthcare products and services.

Ensures accurate processing of cash, credit, Payroll Deductions, and debit transactions.

Reconciles daily sales and cash drawers at the end of each shift.

Completes cash deposit drops according to company procedures.

Addresses and resolves any cash handling discrepancies or issues. Performs any refunds as needed.

Additional

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$26.29 -$39.43
