Job Title: Retail Optical Sales Associate

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Retail Optical Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our outlet, bridging the gap between eye care and retail fashion. You will guidecustomers through selecting the perfect frames and lens technology based on their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring an exceptional eyewear shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Advisory & Styling

• Greet customers warmly and provide a consultative sales approach to understand their vision needs and lifestyle preferences.
• Assist customers in selecting spectacle frames, advising on fit, comfort, fashion trends, and facial suitability.
• Explain various lens options, materials, and upgrades in clear, everyday language.

2. Retail Operations & Merchandising

• Oversee our retail outlets including opening and closing
• Manage day-to-day point-of-sale (POS) transactions, accurate cash handling, and sales invoicing.
• Maintain the visual merchandising standards of the store, ensuring display stands, mirrors, and showcases are clean, well-lit, and inviting.
• Assist with stock management, including receiving new inventory, stock-taking, tracking frame transfers

3. Team Collaboration & Administration

• Liaise closely with the resident Optometrist or Optician to ensure a seamless transition from the refraction room to the retail floor.
• Follow up on customer orders, manage collection timelines, and handle after-sales inquiries or complaints professionally.

Job Requirements

Experience: Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is highly preferred. Experience within the optical trade, luxury retail, or fashion eyewear is an advantage. No experience also feel free to apply!

Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport quickly.A keen eye for fashion, styling, and visual aesthetics.Basic mathematical skills for calculating sales promotions and discounts.

Attributes:
Patient, detail-oriented, and meticulous when handling delicate eyewear and measurements.A proactive team player who can adapt to flexible shift schedules (including weekends and public holidays).Willing to learn and adapt. Especially with regards to optical technicalities and store operations.

Base Salary: $2500-$2900
