The Associate\nDirector General\u2019s Office is seeking a <\/span><\/span>Program\nDevelopment Strategy Officer (Senior\nOfficer \u2013 BG10),<\/span><\/span><\/i> to support strategic leadership in\nthe design, coordination, and adaptation of institutional programs and\ncross\-portfolio initiatives under the guidance of the Associate Director\nGeneral for Research Strategy and Innovation (ADG).The Program Development Strategy Officer <\/i>will apply scientific knowledge and experience in the\nimplementation of science to impact portfolios to support activities of the ADG\noffice <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>that will drive innovation within\nthe organization\u2019s research portfolio.<\/span><\/span>

The role integrates scientific excellence with\ninnovation, supporting the identification, design, and implementation of new\napproaches, and strengthening the relevance and impact of the thematic research\narea through collaboration, partnerships, innovation and strategy alignment.

  • Coordinate and support the design, adaptation, and\nimplementation of research and innovation initiatives under the ADG\u2019s\nleadership and in support to the Alliance\u2019s Research Areas, ensuring they align\nwith the organization\u2019s scientific priorities, emerging evidence, and Research\nAreas needs, while considering stakeholder, operational, and technological\nperspectives.

  • Explore and connect emerging scientific and\ntechnological innovations with the organization\u2019s research agenda, advising\nleadership and program teams on new opportunities, and helping translate these\ntrends into practical strategies and program directions aligned with the thematic\narea.

  • Support the implementation of mechanisms\nto incentivize innovation processes, working alongside teams as a trusted partner to support\nthe development, testing, and refinement of innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with Research Area Directors, the\nHead of PISA, OPD, and other senior leaders to strengthen institutional\ncoordination required to implement strategic initiatives, ensuring that the\nADG\u2019s strategic priorities are consistently interpreted, aligned, and advanced\nacross functions, programs, and regions.

  • Represent the ADG\u2019s Office in engagements with external\nstakeholders, including CGIAR Centers, the System Office, donors, and strategic\npartners, ensuring clear communication, effective follow\-up, and fulfillment of\ninstitutional commitments.

  • Develop and strengthen networks and alliances with\nresearch institutions, innovation actors, and strategic partners, identifying\nopportunities for collaboration that enhance the relevance and positioning of Alliance\u2019s\nthematic areas.

  • Lead the preparation of high\-quality scientific and\nanalytical outputs, including strategic briefs, reports, and presentations,\nthat support engagement with other stakeholders that are key for advancing\nAlliance research portfolios.

        The position level is BG10,\non a scale of 14 levels, with level 14 being the highest<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/i> The salary\nrange will be established in accordance with the regional/country standards.\nThe contract will be for a period of one (1) year, subject to a probationary\nperiod, and is renewable subject to performance, project needs and availability\nof funds.
