The\nAgroecology Coalition<\/span> (<\/span><\/span><\/span>www.agroecology\-coalition.org<\/span><\/span><\/a>) is hosted by Bioversity International in Rome, Italy.\nIts purpose is to accelerate the food system transformation through agroecology.\nIt is composed of more than 550 members, including governments, regional\ncommissions and organizations (farmers\u2019 associations, indigenous peoples\u2019\nassociations, research organizations, CSOs/NGOs, UN agencies, and\nphilanthropy).<\/span><\/span>

Based in Rome, Italy, and under the direct supervision of\nthe Communications Officer, the trainee will provide general support to the\nwork of the Agroecology Coalition and assist with communication and\nadministrative tasks related to the Coalition's activities.<\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>
<\/p>

  • Assist with the creation of social media content and the\ncuration of Coalition\u2019s social media channels.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with the monitoring and analysis of the\nCoalition\u2019s social media channels.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with website management, update and maintenance.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with the drafting of the monthly internal and quarterly\nexternal newsletter and other communication materials. <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with setting up meetings (Working Groups, biannual\nGeneral Assembly, Constituency Calls, etc.), and taking minutes.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist in maintaining contact database and members area\non the website up to date up to date <\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Assist with event organization (e.g. logistics, travel\narrangements).<\/span><\/span>

  • Assist with collecting some\ndocumentation related to accounting (invoices, travel reimbursements). <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>

  • Undertake other related duties as required (e.g.\ntranslation/ proofreading).<\/span><\/span>

    • Secondary school education<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Working knowledge of the English language, both written\nand spoken.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills,\ncourtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working\nrelationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Good skills in personal organization and priority setting.<\/span><\/span>

      • Previous internship experience.<\/span><\/span>

      • University degree in communications, marketing,\njournalism, political sciences or related fields of studies.<\/span><\/span>

      • Working Knowledge of graphic design tools and video\nediting.<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Working knowledge of additional languages (e.g. Spanish).<\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/span><\/li>
      • Work experience in an international environment and on\nfood system related topics.<\/span><\/span>

        This is a\njob traineeship, and the monthly salary is Euro 1,217.13.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

        The contract is initially for a period of six (6) months. The contract\nmay be extendable based on performance and availability of funds.<\/span>
