The\nAgroecology Coalition<\/span> (<\/span><\/span><\/span>www.agroecology\-coalition.org<\/span><\/span><\/a>) is hosted by Bioversity International in Rome, Italy.\nIts purpose is to accelerate the food systems transformation through\nagroecology. It is composed of more than 550 members, including governments, regional\ncommissions and organizations (farmers\u2019 associations, indigenous peoples\u2019\nassociations, research organizations, CSOs/NGOs, UN agencies, and\nphilanthropy).<\/span><\/span>

About\nthe position<\/span><\/span><\/b>

Based in Rome, Italy, and under the direct supervision of\nthe Executive Coordinator, the trainee will provide assistance to the Agroecology\nCoalition and support various tasks related to financing and market pathways\nfor agroecology.<\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>

<\/span><\/p>

  • Support the overall work of the Coalition\u2019s Finance and\nInvestments Working Group and the Markets Working Group (e.g. assisting with drafting\nagenda and minutes, setting up meetings, tracking the implementation of the\nannual workplan, etc.).<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support activities related to fostering connection\nbetween agroecology and school feeding (assisting with setting up online discussions,\ngathering evidence on this topic, contributing to knowledge product development,\netc.).<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Contribute to the preparations for the 2027 Agroecology\nDonors Convening.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Provide assistance with scanning of potential funding\nopportunities (e.g., Calls for Proposal, etc.) for the Coalition and its\nmembers<\/span><\/span><\/span>

  • Undertake other related duties as required.<\/span><\/span>

    • Secondary school education.<\/span><\/span>

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages.<\/span><\/span>

    • Working knowledge of English, both written and spoken<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Good interpersonal, communications, and teamwork skills,\ncourtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working\nrelationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Good skills in personal organization and priority setting.<\/span><\/span>

    • Good research and writing skills.<\/span><\/span>

      • Previous internship experience.<\/span><\/span>

      • Working knowledge of additional languages (e.g. French,\nSpanish, Portuguese).<\/span><\/span>

      • Work experience in an international environment and on\nfood system related topics.<\/span><\/span>

        This is a job traineeship, and the monthly salary <\/span>is Euro 1,217.13.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
        <\/span><\/p>

        The contract is initially for a period of six (6) months. The contract\nmay be extendable based on performance and availability of funds.
