Risk Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and continuously improve the company’s comprehensive risk management framework by formulating risk management policies, procedures, standards, and control tools to ensure full coverage across all business processes.
- Identify, assess, and monitor credit risk, market risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and funding risk; prepare profit and loss reports, risk assessment reports, and risk alert notifications.
- Participate in risk control reviews for business projects, conduct due diligence and risk ratings on counterparties, customers, and major transactions, and provide approval recommendations.
- Monitor business execution, conduct routine risk inspections, abnormal data analysis, and risk investigations to promptly identify and issue warnings on potential issues.
- Lead the handling of risk incidents, formulate response measures, follow up on corrective actions, minimize losses, and establish post-incident review and improvement mechanisms.
- Collaborate with trading, finance, legal, operations, and other departments to integrate risk control requirements into business processes and enhance overall risk awareness among employees.
- Regularly report to management on the company’s overall risk exposure, effectiveness of risk control implementation, and optimization recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Monitor changes in industry policies and regulatory requirements, and update risk management strategies in a timely manner to ensure compliant and stable business operations.
- Review the input records of physical and derivatives transactions, and verify the accuracy of valuations in the risk management system.
- Assist the finance department in managing derivative-related funding and settlement activities.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in risk management, trading risk, or commodity/LNG markets preferred.
- Strong understanding of market risk, credit risk, and derivatives.
- Proficiency in risk systems and Excel-based analysis.
- Experience in Chinese corporations is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin. Need to liaise with HQ in China.
