Overview

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients needing Emergency Services.

Must enjoy teaching and coaching others and possess a calm and patient demeanor. Organization and time management skills will serve this person well. Must be able to work with a variety of personalities and able to work under the following conditions: contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances; exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, and illness); subject to varying and unpredictable situations; handles emergency or crisis situations; may perform emergency care; occasionally subjected to irregular hours; occasional stress due to multiple calls and inquiries. Capable of working overtime as required. Able to read, write and speak English.

Qualifications

Must hold a current, unencumbered Alabama RN Nursing license. BSN is preferred. Must have ACLS, PALS, and BLS; TNCC preferred.

Minimum 4 years Emergency Department nursing experience.
