Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse, you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives.Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns.To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Satisfaction: Is a role model for the Hospital's Patient Satisfaction effort, i.e. demonstrates AIDET principles when interacting with customers, subordinates and colleagues.
  • Greets the patient, establishes patient identity, thoroughly explains the procedure to the patient and verifies the consent form is current, accurate, appropriate and in conjunction with Department and Medical Center's policies. Practices age-specific awareness when interacting with patients of various age groups.
  • Verify the completion or existence of the patient's plan of care and reassesses the patient and continues or modifies the plan of care in according to changes in the patient's condition, diagnosis, needs and or outcomes in accordance with the patient's age related and developmental needs.
  • Verifies completed lab results, documents results on the patient's chart and notifies the physician of any abnormal results.
  • Sets up the special procedure's suite in accordance with the Medical Center's aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • One year RN experience in an acute care Maternal Child setting required.*Position is not currently able to support training RN's without 1 year of L&D Experience.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support- within first six months of employment into the position.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation- within first six months of employment into the position.
  • Basic Arrhythmia- within first six months of employment
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring within first six months of employment.
