SURGICAL Registered Nurse for our Ward & Day Stay- casual

TŪRANGA THE ROLE

We’re growing our casual nursing team and looking for Surgical Registered Nurses who enjoy the flexibility and variety that casual work offers.

We keep our casual pool small on purpose — so you get regular shifts, stay familiar with our processes, and remain connected with the team. Casuals play a vital role here, and we truly value the support they provide when our regular staff are unavailable.

Shifts are staggered and typically up to 8 hours long. The earliest start is 6:45am, and the latest finish is 9:30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, there may be an overnight or Saturday morning shift to cover.

As a Casual RN, you might be booked in advance or called in at short notice to cover illness or unexpected absences. That’s why we’re especially keen to hear from nurses who can offer good flexibility across the days and hours mentioned.

KO KOE ABOUT YOU

You’re a fully registered nurse with solid surgical experience — and ideally, you’ve worked in a private hospital setting before.

You’re looking for a work arrangement that fits around your lifestyle, and casual work suits you right now.

You’re adaptable, reliable, and confident working independently as well as part of a team. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and bring a positive energy to your work.

You might be:

  • Returning to the workforce after some time away
  • Balancing other commitments like family, post–grad study, or another part-time role
  • Someone who enjoys the flexibility and variety of casual work.

You will have at least 2 years current surgical experience caring for post operative patients.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you as soon as possible
