RN, Workers Comp Case Manager

Summary:

The RN Workers Comp/Employee Health Case Manager will facilitate appropriate and timely health care with the focus on safe employee return-to-work and the return to maximum functionality. The RN Workers Comp Manager will conduct investigations for reported injury/illness cases and sees employees in person at our on-site clinic. Strong communication, coordination and education is required to optimize outcomes across the continuum of health, disability, workers compensation, and disease management.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm with after hours on-call rotation twice during 6 wk period.

Required Education/Experience:

  • ASN required, BSN preferred.

  • 5 years' RN experience required.

  • 5 years' adult experience preferred.

  • Occupational Health or Case Management experience preferred.

  • Workers Compensation experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Required Licensure/Certification:

  • Current Texas RN license.

  • COHN Certification preferred or ability to obtain.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers required within 30 days of employment and must be maintained per Medical Center Policy.
