Rope Access JP Instrumentation Technician
Position Summary
Tacten is currently recruiting for Rope Access Instrumentation Journeyperson Technicians to support Fall Outage work on our site in Fort McMurray, AB! You will be contributing directly to the success of our clients' operations. Position Information:
- Fall Outage
- Outage Duration: September 8th, 2026 - October 11th, 2026
- 6/1 rotation, 10-hour day shifts
- Fly-in-fly-out from all major hubs in Canada
- Camp provided
Responsibilities
• Inspects, tests, adjusts and repairs instruments, using hand tools and precision testing equipment.• Analyzes blueprints, sketches, control and wiring diagrams, and follows oral instructions to determineparts, tools, test equipment and sequence of operations required to perform duties.• Analyzes energy management control equipment and makes corrective adjustments to equipment.• Orders and organizes needed material; substitutes similar parts and devices if necessary.• Applies strong working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software including filemanagement, programming, energy management and direct digital control software, in performanceof job duties.
Requirements
- Journey Person Instrumentation Certification
- IRATA Level 1 Certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
