Our Berks County Division, located in Reading, PA, is currently searching for a Route Supervisor to complement our team! We are looking for a leader ready to take their team to the next level. Our goal is to develop, coach and train J.P. Mascaro & Son’s future leaders!

What You Will Do:

  • Allocate daily manpower and equipment for assigned areas of responsibility to ensure the highest levels of service, efficiency, and safety.
  • Ensure all customers are served in the most efficient manner and at the highest level of service possible by coordinating with customers, municipalities, companies, and ensuring adherence to contracts as well as Code, DOT and OSHA compliance.
    • This includes driving trash trucks or utilizing a pickup truck to cover misses or routes should the division be short drivers
  • Train and maintain training for all assigned employees in proper service, equipment operation, safety, and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain route efficiency, re-evaluate routes as needed and redistribute workloads to sustain proper coverage.
  • Conduct investigations for all injuries and incidents finding the root cause and provide consistent discipline and retraining.
  • Review documentation daily such as VCRs, driver logs, pre & post trips and following up as needed.
  • Evaluate neighborhoods and customers to resolve safety issues.
  • Establish and maintain timely and consistent interactions with employees to motivate them and understand their career goals.
  • Foster a culture of trust and open communication with employees.
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.
