Summary:rtNOW is a pioneer in bringing highly qualified telerespiratory therapists to the front of pulmonary care. Remote positive airway pressure device set up's are a growing field requiring individuals with experience and expertise in educating and assisting patients with their PAP machines.This position interfaces with patients, assisting them with all their PAP needs, to help maintain quality data to manage our durable medical equipment business. The position is virtual and isan area of service that allows respiratory therapists to interact directly with patients who have pulmonary disease.
Excellent communication skills via telephone, video chat, text or email are expected. Attention to detail, prompt, and accurate work is expected to educate and serve both patients and support our DME clients. Respiratory therapists hired for this position work remotely and will be responsible for computer technology and stable Wifi access and will provide their own computer support.
Reporting:This position will report to the appointed supervisor within the rtNOW organization.
Position responsibilities:
Set-up patients with PAP equipment and supplies
Provide patient use instruction, follow up & troubleshooting of all CPAP set ups
Consult with patients/customers to answer questions regarding sleep therapy, equipment, risks, costs, and other general concerns
Responsible for patient compliance program including phone calls, data downloads
Interface with Providers to provide sleep therapy
Maintain medical databases, ensuring complete and accurate medical records and documentation
Strictly following policy and procedure to complete the remote patient monitoring tasks
Adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
Required:
Minimum 0-1 years experience in respiratory therapy
Actively licensed in NV
Home health / durable medical equipment experience preferred
Minimum Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapy credential
Working Knowledge of Standards for cardiac support (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP)
State licensure(s) in assigned service location as needed
Computer / Laptop with operating system no greater than 6 years old
Internet browser and desktop application use skills

Mental acuity to track patient details

Private home office / home workspace location
Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Hours: Days/Evening/Every 4th Saturday rotation from 9am-1pm
