Safety and Occupational Health Specialist

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Security, Facilities and Logistics Operations (OSFLO). As a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist, GS-0018-11/12, you will provide assistance to managers and employees on health and safety to enforce compliance of health and safety standards.

Provide advice and technical assistance to managers and employees on health and safety issues within the workplace.

Provide input and data in support of annual OSHA mandated Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Report.

Develop health and safety educational briefings establishing compliance policies to employees and managers.

Prepare reports and recommendations of work-related injuries and illnesses for all CMS Offices.
