Safety Coordinator

Help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents associated with our potential and existing clients. You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSHA) awareness. Safety Coordinators should be well-versed in all OSHA regulations. Your work will be focused on prevention, so you need to be diligent and analytical. A keen eye and attention to detail are imperative to conduct site evaluations and assess risk in prospective client establishments.


This position involves significant travel; You will be expected to visit client sites locally, regionally, and/or nationally to conduct safety evaluations, deliver OSHA training, and ensure ongoing compliance. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, in addition to the ability to fly.



Pay, Schedule, and Location

  • Located in either Allentown,Pennsylvania, Bowling Green, Kentucky, or South Chicago-land area (Joliet, Minnoka)
  • $50,000-55,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on items that are discrepant with prospect clients and make recommendations to minimize safety risks to ensure a successful partnership.
  • Oversee and occasionally direct accident investigations to identify root cause and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance of current clients and oversee the safety observation reports submitted to conduct trend analysis.
  • Educate employees on safety standards and expectations.
  • Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents and related events.



Qualifications for Safety Coordinator

  • Minimum of 2 years as a supervisor in a warehouse environment, or equivalent.
  • OSHA 30 hour General Industry certification card preferred, 10 hour preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to various client sites in other regions as an additional layer of support.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking presentation
  • Understanding of federal, state and local requirements including OSHA.
