Safety Officer
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Advise management and site personnel on safety requirements and best practices.
- Prepare, review, and maintain safety documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and inspection reports.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings for workers and supervisors.
- Monitor workers' compliance with safety rules and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and relevant authorities on safety matters.
- Follow up on safety observations, corrective actions, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in safety audits and support site management during inspections by authorities.
- Prepare and submit safety reports as required by management.
Requirements:
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore.
- Relevant experience in construction projects.
- Good knowledge of WSH regulations and industry safety practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and provide practical safety solutions.
- Part-time basis (e.g., 1–3 visits per week or as required by the project).
- Flexible working hours based on project needs.
- Able to attend site meetings and respond to safety-related matters when required.
