Safety Officer

Job Description & Requirements

· To develop & implement Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy, programs &

procedures

· To ensure all safety matters are in compliance with statutory, contractual &

management system requirements

· To oversee and lead the Safety team in the implementation of company’s safety

system at project sites

· To conduct toolbox meetings

· Perform construction site safety inspections & attend site walks with client &

subcons

· Identify unsafe work practice and work condition & recommend control measures

to project team

· Prepare/Review Risk Assessment/SWP/Method Statement/Permit-to-Work for all

project works. Manage and maintain/update these safety records & checklists

· Inventory management for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

· Support haze and pandemic activities

· Respond promptly to incidents & accidents

Requirements:

· WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH or its equivalent

· Registered WSHC/WSHO with MOM, ECO with NEA

· Have a good knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety Management System

· Have excellent people management & interpersonal skills
