SAFETY OFFICER
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement appropriate safety measurements in accordance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act
- Enforce all safety requirements and company safety rules and regulations
- Maintain and update all WSH records, certificates and reports in accordance with WSH legislation
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses to determine the root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records related to safety training, incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Stay current on industry best practices and continuously seek opportunities to improve workplace safety.
- Conduct safety inspections regularly to ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance to MOM safety requirements
- Prepare and submit monthly safety reports to management and clients as required.
- Check that workers use PPE, follow safe work procedures and keep good housekeeping.
- Keep the site clean and orderly and store materials and tools safely. Keep safety records up to date (risk assessments, method statements, safe work
- Procedures, permits, incident/near-miss reports, toolbox meeting notes, induction logs).
