Sales Engineer

Job Summary

Drive sales growth by engaging new and existing customers, preparing proposals, managing orders, and coordinating project delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and timely completion.

  • Compensation includes basic salary, sales commission, and sales incentives

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships by contacting new and potential customers to generate sales enquiries
  • Conduct routine follow-ups with customers to convert proposals into confirmed orders
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals, quotations, and assist in tender submissions to secure business
  • Process orders including final costing, supplier coordination, and liaise with logistics and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery, installation, and project completion
  • Address customer issues related to delivery and installation through regular meetings to maintain satisfaction
  • Ensure projects are completed on time with professionalism and efficiency to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and submit internal weekly sales reports, forecasts, and other requested reports to Sales Manager or Director
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers to support ongoing business growth

Required competencies and certifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical, IT, or equivalent roles
  • Proficient in Project Management to oversee sales and project delivery processes
  • Knowledgeable in Building Management Systems (BMS), Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems, and Security Systems to support technical sales activities
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and a passion for sales
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to meet sales targets
