Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Engineer to expand our market presence in the oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of polymer coating systems, proven sales experience, and the ability to develop long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, and industrial sectors.
- Promote and sell polymer coating products and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and site visits with customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company's growth strategy.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports.
- Provide after-sales support and technical assistance where required.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Industrial).
- Minimum 2 years of sales, business development, or technical sales experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in polymer coating, protective coating, corrosion protection, lining systems, or related surface protection technologies.
- Strong understanding of oil & gas industry standards, project cycles, and procurement processes.
- Possess a valid driving licence and own a car for customer visits and business travel.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts.
Experience
- Experience dealing with refineries, petrochemical plants, shipyards, or tank terminal operators.
- Knowledge of corrosion prevention, asset integrity management, and industrial maintenance solutions.
- Familiarity with coating specifications, inspection requirements, and industry standards.
- Experience preparing technical proposals and participating in tender processes.
- Established network of contacts within the oil & gas sector will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
